"Clarós, a stone in Napoleon's shoe"

"Clarós, a stone in Napoleon's shoe"

This is the story of a forgotten Catalan hero. During the war against the French, he was the nightmare of their generals and a real stone in Napoleon's shoe.

The attacks and ambushes organized by this former soldier and lawyer shook the convoys and imperial troops crossing the country.

During his lifetime he was honored with the Gold Medal of Girona, for his decisive actions during the sieges of 1809 and distinguished by many other grateful cities. This survivor of two bloody wars died in 1827.

188 years later, his direct descendant, Domingo Neuenschwander de Clarós, currently residing in Switzerland, produced this documentary himself, the fruit of his fascinating research in the footsteps of his illustrious ancestor.
